Tan Dinh Church (Pink Church)

Tan Dinh Church is a Roman Catholic church located in the Tan Dinh ward of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was constructed by French colonists during the early 20th century and is one of the oldest and largest churches in the city.

The church's architectural style is a mix of Gothic and Romanesque elements, with a bright pink exterior that makes it a popular destination for tourists and photographers. Inside, the church is decorated with beautiful stained-glass windows and intricate carvings.

Saigon Weapon Bunker

The Saigon Weapon Bunker is not just any ordinary museum. It's a living, breathing piece of history that transports you back to the tumultuous days of the Vietnam War. Hidden away in the basement of a small house on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, this bunker was once home to nearly 2 tons of weapons used by the Saigon Commandos to prepare for the General Offensive.

Purchased in 1966 by Mr. Tran Van Lai (also known as Nam Lai, Hero of the People's Armed Forces), this unassuming house was the perfect cover for a secret weapons storage facility. Under the guise of repairs, Nam Lai dug a cellar and transported weapons from the suburbs to this covert location.

The cellar is a marvel of engineering, measuring over 8 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2.5 meters deep. Inside, there are round frames connected to the drain pipe for escape in case of emergency. It's a sobering reminder of the lengths people went to during wartime to protect their cause.

On the dawn of the second day of the Lunar New Year in 1968, the 5th Ranger Group, consisting of 15 officers and soldiers, received weapons from this very bunker and set off to attack the Independence Palace, the head of the South Vietnam government.

Today, the Saigon Weapon Bunker stands as a testament to the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for their beliefs during the Vietnam War. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in history or seeking to better understand the human cost of war.

Sip on craft beer

While millions of liters of mass-produced beer are brewed all at once, craft beer is much more modestly produced. Even the largest craft beer breweries only produce up to 1000 liters per batch and no more than 6 million liters per year.Quality of the craft beer is much more important than quantity. Small batches ensure that each craft beer is truly brewed to perfection.

Both mass-produced and craft beers are made from the same four basic ingredients: water, hops, malt, and yeast. While they may sometimes add some additives to increase production, mass-produced beer is relatively limited in the diversity of its ingredients.

Craft beer is a completely different story! There's a lot of creative freedom in craft beer production, much like in cooking. For beer makers, their imagination is the only limit when it comes to what they can add to these four basic ingredients!

With their boundless passion, craft beer brewers are always exploring and experimenting with different ingredients to create unique beer flavors of their own.
